I grew up with everyone keeping shomer negiah but I never learned the actual sources inside, and I have real questions about how it works. 1. Where is the Torah source for negiah? People point to lo sikrevu legalos ervah (Vayikra 18:6). The Rambam in Sefer HaMitzvos...

I have been learning through the answers and articles here and there is a very consistent method, for example the fast days article where the whole psak comes out of the exact definition of one word, shalom, in Rosh Hashanah 18b. I want to ask about the method itself....
