Hi Rabbi. If I have a son that feels that he will gain a better education and be more willing to take school seriously if he is in a particular private jewish high school that is coed. Am I allowed to register him for such a high school?

Certainly. Parents usually know their child and where he will succeed. If you believe he will do better, work harder, and be more motivated in that environment, that is an important factor and you should rely on your instincts.
Boys and girls will always be aware of each other. That is how God created the world and how the world continues. The main question is not whether boys and girls are in the same building, but whether your son will grow, learn, and succeed in that environment — academically, emotionally, and religiously. If the answer is yes, that is a strong reason to choose that school.
