Hi Rabbi. When is it necessary to bring bedika and hefsek cloths to a rabbi to see and determine if it is pure. Is there a simple rule I can apply to make a determination or am I not allowed to make that decision. Please clarify. Thanks.

If you can tell the color and it’s for sure Red. It is no good. If it is for sure brown, pink or any other color (besides blaxk which is not common), then it is fine. No need to call a Rabbi. If you cannot tell or you’re unsure, maybe you need a Rabbi.
