how does the torah look at entertainment and rest, movies, going out, just enjoying time?
1. is there a positive source for enjoyment itself? yeshayahu 58:13 says to call shabbos an oneg, a delight, and the rambam in hilchos shabbos 30:7 turns that into an actual mitzva of oneg shabbos, real physical enjoyment. does the torah see enjoyment as a value beyond shabbos too, or is oneg framed as a shabbos thing only?
2. on the other side, is sitting with a movie or a game just bitul torah and bitul zman, or does the torah expect a person to rest and recharge? is rest itself part of avodas hashem or just tolerated?
3. and practically: what makes entertainment kosher or not, the content, the amount, the escapism? if the content is clean, is fun itself ever a problem?
bottom line: how should a person look at fun and entertainment through a torah lens?
