We are a young married couple trying our best to live according to Orthodox halacha. We find the laws of harchakot during my period, and related areas, particularly challenging.
Would the Rabbi be able to guide us in a practical, halachic way so that we can live a normal life while avoiding unnecessary stringencies and remaining within the boundaries of halacha?

Absolutely. I’d be happy to help.
First, I would suggest putting aside everything you’ve previously learned on this topic and starting fresh. Then, go to the Jewish Law section of our website and download our booklet on Hilchot Nidah.
After you’ve read it, feel free to post any questions here, and I’ll do my best to answer them as quickly as possible. If a question is private, personal, or something you’d rather not discuss publicly, you are welcome to email me directly at kashrut.org@gmail.com.
Over the years, many additional stringencies have become attached to this area of halacha, making it feel overwhelming for many couples. In our booklet, we have carefully gone back to the primary halachic sources and removed every chumra that we concluded is not required by halacha. We continue to study the sources with that same goal.
Our objective is not to make halacha easier by compromising it, but to present the halacha as faithfully and accurately as possible. Hashem gave us a Torah that can be lived. The goal is to observe His commandments with care and confidence; not to struggle under obligations that halacha itself does not require.
