I have been invited to attend an exhibit opening the day before Tisha B’Av. It is an exhibit I helped put together, so it’s work related. On the other hand, there is no financial penalty for not attending. There will be no music, but it is kind of a party. Advice?
Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in getting back about this. I wrote to the organizers, but have not heard back from them. The exhibit is a history exhibit with artifacts and images. I doubt there will be music. I don’t know what kind of food if any will be served. The event will probably be attended by some professional historians, history buffs, and general culture vultures.
Not a problem even if there’s some music.
Give me a bit more info. Is it an art exhibit? Will there be live music? Will they serve meat and wine? What type of people normally attend this event?
Maybe be I missed it but can you make an article about the actual prohibitions and Halakhot of the 3 weeks and the 9 days?
Will do
