I wanted to ask about the Pesach status of Muscle Milk Pro Series Knockout Chocolate protein shake. It does not currently appear on the list, and I could not find any similar protein shake products listed either.
Ingredients: Water, Milk Protein Isolate, Calcium Caseinate, Sodium Caseinate, Cocoa (Processed with Alkali), Soluble Corn Fiber, Natural and Artificial Flavor, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Cellulose Gel, Inulin, Tripotassium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Potassium Phosphate, Sodium Polyphosphates, Cellulose Gum, Sucralose, Carrageenan, Acesulfame Potassium, Salt, plus vitamins and minerals.
For those who eat kitniyot, the soluble corn fiber would not be an issue. However, I understand there may be concerns around the natural and artificial flavors potentially containing chametz-derived carriers, and that the milk protein isolate and caseinates undergo industrial processing that could involve chametz-derived enzymes or processing aids.
Is this something that could be looked into for a future update to the list? Would appreciate any guidance on whether this product is usable for Pesach or if it should be avoided.
