Can I order an Aperol Spritz kosher by instructing them to put less than 1/6 Prosecco wine?
We are currently learning Daf Yomi, Avodah Zarah 60. The Rama (Orach Chaim 203:5) gives a dan kav zechut regarding the residents of Merrin concerning stam yayin because they are not considered full idolaters. Additionally, the leniency applies when the wine is no more than one year old.

Aperol Spritz typically contains:
-
Aperol (bitter liqueur, not wine)
-
Prosecco (Italian sparkling wine)
-
Seltzer
-
Orange slice

- Regarding a mixed drink like an Aperol Spritz, if the amount of wine (Prosecco) is less tha 1/6 of the total drink, can I rely Lechatchila on the intentional bitul

With regards to less than 1/6th, that would be sufficient and Batel (rendered irrelevant).
With regards to Yayin Stam (non-Jewish wine) in general…..stay tuned. I should be posting something on that within a month. Keep checking the Torah Talk section under “resources” above.
