Many bags (for example, the goya black eyed peas) say “may contain soybean or wheat”
What is the ruling on that?
Not an issue. Those are disclaimers to avoid lawsuits if someone has allergies. They’re not an indication as to actual content.
Usually they’re fine. Check the ingredients. As long as they’re just the beans and maybe citric acid or salt or sugar etc. it’s fine.
