Vinegar

Hi Rav Abadi-

Just to clarify: 

Distilled vinegar is only a problem if it’s white vinegar? If all it says is “distilled vinegar” it’s ok for Pesah bc we assume it’s a fruit source?

Also, I notice that some vanilla extracts you deem ok and some you require knowledge of the alcohol source. Is that because there are some products you’ve been able to research and others not, or is there anything else I should be looking for? If not, then if don’t see my exact product on your site I will contact the manufacturer.
