Kashering A Frying Pan
In the past, I would Kasher my frying pans for Pesach by HaGalah submerging them in boiling water. Recently, I acquired frying pans that are too big to fit in even my biggest stockpot. Since these frying pans are nonstick, I am concerned that placing them directly on a flame / hot burner (Basic Libum) might destroy the nonstick finish on the pans. Is there a way of Kashering frying pans in the oven? Many thanks.
You can use the oven as long as the handles won’t get ruined. Sure. But check out podcast episode 8. I show how to kasher on the stove. If you are risking ruining the pot, you’re doing it wrong.
