Are glazed porcelain and bone china dishes similar to glass in that they can be used for meat and dairy (after being washed in the dishwasher, of course)?
Yes. Anything glazed is similar to glass in that regard. However, the custom (Minhag) is to keep separate dishes for meat and dairy—using dairy dishes for dairy and meat dishes for meat under normal circumstances. That said, if you’re short on one type or simply don’t feel like washing, it’s perfectly acceptable to use either one. For Pesach as well, you can use them as long as they’re washed—nothing more is required.
