I saw the post from 2022 regarding Biotene spray (https://kashrut.org/biotene-dry-mouth-spray/; https://www.biotene.com/dry-mouth-products/moisturizing-mouth-spray/), but am more interested in the lozenges (https://www.biotene.com/dry-mouth-products/lozenges/).
Ingredients are isomalt, xylitol, water, glycerin, sodium citrate, natural and artificial flavor, pectin, sucralose, FD&C blue 1.
They are surprisingly pleasant to consume, in addition to the medical / palliative benefits they provide.
I understand that both isomalt and xylitol are sugar alcohols, with some being produced from “agricultural waste from processing maize, wheat, or rice.” Do they pose a concern for Pesah?
Similarly, are there any concerns with the “natural flavors”, whether for Pesah or otherwise?
Thank you in advance, Richard
No concerns for either. Okay for Ashkenazim and Sephardim
