Hello Rabbi Abadi,
I have 2 questions:
- Are we allowed to move things that are Muktzeh but that cause distress on Shabbat? I know that you can remove Graf Shel Re’i, but if something is not necessarily physical disgusting but mentaly stressful can we move it without a shinui? For example: a wet towel on the floor, dirty clothes on the bed/floor, things out of place that may cause disturbance. I don’t have to see my house on Shabbat completely out of order do to Muktzeh fears.
- If you have a spot on the table due to food or on the floor, are we allowed to use a baby wipes to clean it ot a little wet paper napkin? What are the precautions to tek into consideration?

Yes. Muktzah can be moved if you need the space or to clean up.

CORRECT. You should keep it clean. Muktzah is not a problem here.

The problem we address here is “Sechitah.” Baby wipes are not a problem. Using a sponge is usually an issue, because you’re soaking up water in one place and then squeezing it out in another. I say “usually,” because if you just make the sponge damp, it would be the same as baby wipes. So, use your judgment.
