In a post a few years ago you wrote that Zyn is kosher for Passover for all. Can you explain this more? Specifically for Ashkenazim and considering the corn starch concern? Also can you shed light on Nicorette as well with regard to Passover? Thank you.

What is the concern about corn starch? I didn’t see corn starch listed in the ingredients. But even if it is present, it’s important to understand that the issue of Kitniyot (legumes) is only a Minhag (custom). According to Halacha, Kitniyot is batel berov—meaning if the majority of the product (over 51%) is not Kitniyot, the Kitniyot is nullified and the product is permitted. Furthermore, corn itself was not even part of the original Kitniyot custom. Corn was introduced to Europe from the Americas well after the Minhag was established, so it was never historically included.
