Since Lag Ba’Omer is on Sunday this year (may 26), you can shave and/or take haircuts starting Thursday the 23rd of May. The concept is that we want to give honor to the Shabbat. Shaving only on Sunday, would be disrespectful.

My son may be flying next sunday from the pacific coast of the US to Europe. Flight takes off in afternoon local time and mands the next morning. Should he count on the plane? Any time when it is dark would be good? Or how else should he do? Thank you very much
