||I want to ask, is there any rhyme or reason to wearing black? I know there are sources for wearing white on Shabbat and Rosh HaShannah, and Yom Kippur. But why do we wear black? My own fealings are that okay on one hand you can say what does it matter other peoples oppinions for dressing a certain way, but on the other I must say that after having been religious for almost ten years, I believe that it is a big turn off to others who arent religious, and that without any reason to dress in black other than that thats whats done for the last while, we need to stop it. Its negative and morbid, traditional morners clothing. If one wants to say we wear black since the destruction of the Previous Temple, the Rabbis of the Talmud didnt wear black.
