||I have seen two different kinds of talaism. One is the full body length version seen in most orthodox synagogues. This is the one you drape over your back and then flip up the sides.
Then there is also the kind that looks more like a long silk scarf. This is the kind that you often find left over when all the larger talaism are already taken or at some conservative synagogues.
From a halacha point of view, does it make a difference which kind you use?
