Subject:  artificial crab meat
Message:  Shalom,

We are planning to go to Florida for vacation in a couple of months.
As we try to keep kosher, the following question came up in my family.
There is something served a lot called "Southern Crab". Obviously crab is not allowed. Rather, it is expressively prohibited. However, in this case artificial crab is used, which contains mostly white fish but nor crab.
Would it still be allowable under halach to eat this?

Reply:  Mostly white fish is not very definitive.
Find out the exact ingredients and as long as it is from kosher fish, enjoy.
