Message: Strange how he (SS) complains about you using his elderly father, in his 90's for propoganda. He (SS) shleps him around for money. I once went to him, and was so turned off by the way this elderly Rav is used and bounced around, that I couldn't bring myself to go again.....
Never really trusted his son, either.... not surprised....

Shlomo W....

Reply: I think we all feel that way a bit, but try not to say it. I actually told the elderly Rav, "why don't you stay in Eretz Yisrael?"
He shrugged his shoulders and said, "what can I do, the Yeshiva needs money...."
But your point is well made!

Reply:  Loshon Haraa needs three components, and if missing one of the three, it is not Lashon Haraa.
1) Malicious intent.
2) It needs to be a secret, that is known only by one or two people.
3) It must be a situation that the person regrets the wrongdoing, and is not continually doing it.
All three do not apply here.
Additionally, when it is said for a purpose, it is a Mitzvah.
