Subject:  Receiving money for work done during Yom Tov
Message:  Shalom,

Someone asked me what to do in a situation where they babysit a child specifically on Yom Tov. It is in a situation of once per week and the child was looked after only on Yom Tov and will be again the following Yom Tov. Also continue to do soo on the week/weeks after Yom Tov. Hasn't been paid anything yet but if the payment is hourly would it be a violation to accept payment?
For example can one get paid for 3 days altogether where 2 of the days are Yom Tov and 1 is a regular day? Would the hours be allowed to be counted exactly as well because it is hourly?
Reply:  Yes, as long as they aren't only getting paid for Yom Tov work
