Subject:  supper on simchat torah
Message:  given how long davening and hakofes take, when is a logical time to eat supper,
at the supposedly normal orthdox shul, they dont end till at least 10:30
chabad takes forever, but they do make kiddush and serve food right after maariv, though there is no bread for motiz etc lechem mishneh
shuls seem to go straight from minche into maariv, what is a good solution?
Reply:  You need to live with the existing Shuls. Just make Kiddush and eat cake. Even if they don't serve Kiddush, bring a little mini grape juice bottle & a piece of cake. You'll start a new Minhag (custom). You don't need to stay till the end. Stay till you've had enough.

Please allow me to add another idea. Many shuls do not start Maariv till 50, 60, 72 or 90 minutes after shkia. Make kiddush and eat something before you go to shul and even eat a regular meal. I've done that for years.
