Subject:  kipah
Message:  The average Syrian Jew is known not to wear kipah except for prayer & learning or doing something in kedusha.

Would that fact make me "embarassed of our religion" ? as stated below...

Subject: Hand on Head?
Message: We can use our hand in place of a kipah? I thought a kipah had to be something other than our own flesh? I was taught that someone else can place their hand on your head for use as a kipah but that you couldnt use your own. Could you please explain?

Reply: It is not ideal, but the person who asked was talking about a not so ideal situation.
I highly recommend wearing the Kipah, and being proud of your religion. Every Arab is out there dressed the way they dress, and praying right in the middle of Grand Central Station, and we should be embarassed of our religion?! It's absurd.

Reply:  You missed the post that he was asking about. It mentioned a person's dilemma of being at a business lunch and not wearing a Kippa for the blessings.
