Subject:  Eggs
Message:  Dear Rabbi Abadi,
Is the presence of eggs in bakery goods, or any other foods for that matter, a problem? I am under the impression that it is a problem, as I have always been advised that pasta, for example, that does not contain eggs is Kosher, leading me to believe that if it does then it is unkosher. However reading on your site that eggs do not need to be checked makes me wonder whether this is correct, and what the problem, if there is one, may be. Bishul Akum? And what about raw eggs?

Reply:  Eggs are not a problem in baked items nowadays.
Bishul Akum (cooking of a Non-Jew) is still a problem, but commercially baked products are not included in that.
