Subject:  super hot water from faucet
Message:  My husband prefers to have the water heater heat the water to a very, very high heat. Water from the hot tap alone is so hot that neither of us can keep their hand in it at all.
I'm afraid there could be a kashrut problem if meat and milk accidentally get mixed together at similar proportions in the kitchen sink. With that hot water running on it I'm afraid it could be cooking it.
For shalom bayit, I haven't said anything yet. Should I try to get the water temp turned down some, should I be extra careful in the presence of milk and meat at the sink and when loading the dishwasher, or do I have nothing to worry about?
Thank you very much for your guidance.

Reply:  You have nothing to worry about Halachically. However, for safety reasons it is not a good idea especially if children are around. (Which in itself is a Halacha issue)
