Subject:  Lulav
Message:  If someone forgot it was Shabbat and started carrying the lulav and etrog to shul, and remembered while on the way, is he permitted to carry the lulav to shul or bring it home? (It happened this year)
Reply:      It is the same as a regular case of someone carrying anything else.

I am referring to a place where there is a kosher eruv. I assume it comes down to if a lulav and etrog are muktzeh, and if yes, is there a way to carry it so as not to suffer the hefsed merubah.
Reply:  If someone picks up muktzeh then realizes his mistake, he is supposed put it down asap. However, he does not have to drop it. He can put somewhere safe.
