Message:  Hi, agian thanks for your time.

I am a Kohen , Is it neccessary for me to take off my shoes when I say Birkhat Kohanim? I thought that this was a custom because back then they mostly had mud on their feet and it was not appropriate.

Reply:  That isn't the reason. Look at Talmud Bavli Sota Daf 40.
Yes! You must remove your shoes.
