Subject:  tattoos
Message:  as a religious girl, turned rebel, i got a tattoo on my back about seven years ago. its not of anything significant, and there are no words on it. i was always braught up learning that with a tattoo, a jew cannot be buried in a jewish cemetery. i was wondering what are the true halachic orders regarding what im dealing with, and if its truly asur to have gotten one in the first place?
Reply:  Don't worry about it. You will get buried IY"H in a Jewish cemetery. Look at the other posts to know whether it was assur then when you did it. However, either way it is no problem now for you because you regret it and that is Teshuva. Now, that tattoo represents a Mitzva, because of your Teshuva.
