Subject:  Kippah ( SY)
Message:  Author: Mike
Message: 1) Must one wear a kippah while eating?
2) What about learning? 3) Saying a bracha?

Reply: Yes to all three and also when walking, standing, sitting and any other time that you are awake. CYA

Just to clear the record, the Sephardim and especialy us syrians never really accepted this custom unless one is doing something related to kodesh such as praying, eating etc.. During work and just hanging out syrians do not necessary weak a kippah. (and " Fook chasi ma Ama davar..")

Reply:  Just to clear the record, does "Fook chasi ma Ama davar" also go for the immodest dress of the community.

There is no exemption for wearing a kippa. The fact that it is not worn does not create a Halacha that it is not required. The fact remains that it is required. My father in his sefer says, that one should always wear a kippa.
