This is a chumra for no reason there is no flame therefore you don’t need Belch. However you do have to cover the knobs.

    Sorry this is the way the frum people in Williamsburg & boro park do it.

   
Reply:  Ever try to look in the mirror, when you are writing e-mails. Reread what we wrote and then figure out what you want to say, without making a fool out of yourself.
We didn't write that you have to use a blech. If you want to add hot water, you need a blech. It can not be Mevashel when the water is hot with a blech.

But if you are not adding water why are you covering the knobs. (FYI - the covering of the knobs is instead of a blech???)
