Yes. Applies to treif.
Treif knives can’t be put into a pot of boiling water
The lids to the pots are glass with a metal rim
Is this the way I kosher them as well? Just by covering the boiling water and letting it steam up?
Don’t boil over. You can even just put a third of the pot water, then cover it, bring it to a boil, and allow it to steam up for a minute or two.
